that chart was for a old sandy xeon and you miss one of the reasons why I do not want a 3570 , I loath intergrated graphics LOL smile.gif
also the 3570 has less L3 Cache 6mb vs 8mb on the xeon , and finally no hyperthreading on the I5 3570 where the xeons do support HT

Lets look at one more thing , Price the 3570k is $240 bucks vs The xeon 280 so for 40 bucks more I get the proformance of a I7 3770 for less cash . Kinda hard to sell a 3570K whould You not agree ? biggrin.gif

on this one
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4153#ov

but you will need to upgrade to the larest bios to fully support a xeon , I already flashed mine using a I3 sandy
here is a offical list of supported cpus
http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=4153

Thinking of getting one ? Mabe we could start a official Xeon thread ! thinking.gif

hmmmm,,think i wait to see what your thoughts are of the xeon...

the 3d power in the gigabyte bios is something new..never saw that before....

my cat chewed a wire loose on my 880ga board, sent it in and told them what happen,,,they fixed it at no charge..so i am very happy with their repair facility, even after telling them i had a hungry cat

I need to know about the performance of this Xeon e3-1240
and, there are any programs/game that does not support Xeon as Server Processor?

what the significant diference of formerly i7 3770k?
beside integrated graphic card and support ecc-memories (i will use XMP Corsair Memories)

I plan to build my system like this :
Code:
MB : Asus Sabertooth Z77
Proc : Intel i7 3770K Ivy Bridge
RAM : Corsair DDR3 16GB CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 (4x4GB)
Hardisk : 2 x WDC 500GB SATA III 32MB Caviar Black 3.5"
CPU Cooler : Corsair H80 Water Cooler
Fan Controller : Scythe Kaze Master Panel 5.25"
Keyboard : Filco FKBN104M/EB2 / Corsair K60
Mouse : Tt Esports Black
PSU : Thermaltake ToughPower 80+ Gold 550W
Radiator Fan : Sanyo Denki Ace 120L
Casing Fan : 2 x Typhoon Gentle AP-15 120

another question, Is FCLGA1155 and LGA1155 different?

thanks thumb.gif
