ORIGINAL POST
I know there's a lot of threads asking for the same thing (gaming laptops), but mine might be a bit more unique.

I want to build a good intel computer (2000+ budget not including monitor). I've wanted to build one for 8 months now.

Problem is that I need a laptop for school/internships so I thought that I would get a gaming laptop for now. Then during November at the latest, I'd build my pc.

Games I'm aiming for are Battlefield 3, Guild Wars 2, Counter Strike, Tribes Ascend, and other new multiplayer games/solo RPGs.

I've never had a good computer/laptop, so I've always played games at low for the past decade... I'm looking to splurge. Any suggestions?

My budget for a laptop is 2000. I've been saving up for a while now...

Grab the HD 7970m, the IC7 and the i7-3720QM.

With that you can hold off your build until Haswell ...maybe Broadwell.

Thanks for the help guys. I think I might go along with this suggestion. Should I add anything else?

That Sager looks excellent. You can never go wrong with one of their laptops. IMO they are the best of the best.

I agree with the above statement. The hardware they use is of high quality. I have owned one, and it lasted me 3 years unitl I sold it. They are unlike Alienware/Dell because the build quality is also far superior, yet the price is the same or lower.

Sager is a smaller company that hardly anyone knows about except the tech community. Be prepared for a ton of heat though and consistantly changing TIM materials. That is a given with any high performance notebook like this. Do what you can to reduce heat; fans, cooling gels, etc.

If you can do some upgrades yourself like more ram, ssd, etc; try to shave some of their profit margins by doing so. You will get more out of your money. Get the best monitor, cpu, and gpu you can and upgrade around those.
