Mac...trash won't empty.

So one of the computers in the studio here won't empty the trash. And of course selecting items one by one to delete from the trash is too complicated for Apple...

Basically, if I click empty trash it just crashes. The dock/taskbar thingy at the top go away for an instant then reappear along with the trash window. So yeah...tried rebooting. I don't really know what other options Macs give you for fixing random things that go wrong with them (they assume nothing does go wrong with them?)

So what do I do???

Yeah forgot to mention it's OS X 10.3.9.

Anyway, solved my problem, here's what I used (for anyone referring to this thread in the future)

Quote:
Force the Trash to empty using the Option key
This technique uses a hidden feature of Mac OS X to force the Trash to empty. Perform the following steps in the order specified:

Press and hold the mouse button on the Trash icon in the Dock. The context menu for Trash will display.
Press and hold the Option key.
Select Empty Trash from the context menu for Trash.
Release the Option key.
