Songs Please - Page 2

Here's a few...
The Verve Pipe-Freshman (just a general good song and has a little bit of everything in it)
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Woofercooker (KILLS subs if played more than like twice at full volume so be careful.)
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Blackmill-Lucid Truth (I know you said you hate dubstep but this is Melodic Dub. I have 3 separate hardcore haters of dub that love all of his music so you should give this song at least 1 chance, if it's not for you then it's perfectly fine.)
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Hope these helped.

EDIT: Put into Spoilers because science.

Number 10 is the most idiotic of that article. There are people who simply don't care about good sound because they simply can't notice the difference between their MP3s over Apple earbuds and lossless over expensive good headphones. There are golden ears, which brings me to the final point that number 4 is also idiotic. If you hear the difference between something you can still lie and make your results look random.

And what's the purpose in doing that? The ABX test is a tool to verify if you can distinguish two sounds apart. If you can, but lie during the test, you're only fooling yourself.

Because the fools who cling to their ABX tests, science, and their absolutes always cry foul when someone actually passes an ABX test. When a proponent of idiocy like the sampling THEOREM takes an ABX test, they are biased and can just produce random results on purpose. The "science" and math crowd are a bunch of absolutist nuts who think reality can be summed up in numbers, and that their math and science are always perfect.

First of all, if you don't believe the sampling theorem, you might as well not believe 2+2=4. A theorem (which is NOT a THEORY) is a proved mathematical statement. To dispute it, is to dispute basic mathematical axioms.

I've never understood why some people have so much hate for the "sicence and math crowd". In fact you should thank them for the computer you're using right now, and most other things you take for granted. rolleyes.gif

Have you ever noticed how reviews for every single piece of audio equipment vary from "the best thing I've ever heard" to "complete junk"? That's human biased nature for you...

No, a theorem is generally accepted as true, but it's something that cannot be mathematically proven. It's proven from other theorems and axioms...circular logic. It is just as good as theory. It's not a theorem that 2+2=4. I recognize science for many things, but I do not worship it. Science is now a global policy maker and beginning to decide who should live and who should die. The science we use today is not science, it's becoming some peoples' religion. The sampling theory can not and will not perfectly reproduce a signal. Thinking that all you need to hear can be crammed into a 22,050 Hz signal with twice the sampling rate is foolish. Scientists understand very little, in reality, and this even applies to digitizing an analog signal. These same ******* also cling to 16/44,100 and quote that anything higher is a waste of storage, despite storage capacities growing and growing and growing. It's time to move on. Sampling at a higher rate and deeper bit depth isn't going to hurt anything.

A theorem is a bitter clinger's excuse for their age-induced hearing loss.

You should listen to "Feed Me's Escape from Electric Mountain". It'll show you what your headphones are made of. Also listen to some Shostakovich with Vienna or Chicago to get real, useful bass response.
