Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting myself a Razer Blackwidow ultimate mechanical gaming keyboard, although I'm not entirely sure if I should or not as I've read mixed reviews about the product. So what are your thoughts? Help me out a little!

I have the regular blackwidow and it has been working great with no problems. Is there anything in particular you are wary about?

Basically I've heard that the Blackwidow ultimate has had a lot of manufactured defaults such as faulty LED's and some keys tend to get stuck? How long have you had the regular one for?

I've got the ultimate and i haven't had a single issue with it. The only thing I do not like is the glossy finish around the edges. It always looks nasty.

Oh ok, yeah I heard that it can be a pain in the behind to clean because of the glossy finish. Only problem is the Razer Blackwidow ultimate stealth editiion is exclusive to the Razer website and will cost be about $250.00 Australian to buy frown.gif

Yeah, I constantly running a microfiber cloth around it. Besides the glossy finish though the keyboard is great.

Have you looked at other keyboards? If you're not dead stuck on this keyboard there are many other options obviously.

Throw down some requirements and we can narrow down your search! (Price, key switch, LED, etc etc)

I had the BWU for about a week and thought it was a very solid keyboard. The only reason I sold it was because Newegg had a Black Friday sale on their Rosewill keyboards, so I went with one of those instead. However, when I had the keyboard I was very happy with it.

Basically I have a budget of $150.00 AU
It must be a mechanical keyboard, preferably with LED backlit keys (I mostly game in the dark).
Kinda need macro keys (at least 5) but it's not completely necessary, but I would prefer that it does have them.
