What type of wire do you use?

So im trying to prep for modding my evga 680 and have been doing some practice soldering. I have some 26 gauge wire, but the little wire fibers inside the casing are individually pretty thick and not very flexible. I am looking for something with a little more flexibility and finesse, kind of like some speaker wire is..

What's the best type of wire to use and what sources can i get it from (random cables/wires laying around the house, or just buy it?)

Thanks for the help!

I usually just use IDE cables & strip off the individual wires from the ribbon for modding, easy to work with & works well.

I use 30awg teflon wire...special for tiny dots and do not burned so easy

I use single strand kynar wire wrap. Small enough to solder to a spec of dust

I think it's 30AWG although I'm not entirely sure.

Here is an example (clicky for massive pic)

The IDE cable mentioned above is ok for a lot of things but when you're trying to solder to tiny 0402 resistors it's a real pain. I prefer the kynar as I can make it much neater.
