I have some advice that can hopefully help you guys out. I had many problems with BF3 as well as BC2 despite being perfectly stable in everything else. The fact is that Dice did a garbage job with the game but here are a few things you can try:

- Remove and disable windows update KB971033. This update was causing ctd's, hard locks, and bsods in BC2 and it appears BF3 hates it as well.

- Pay attention to the amount of vram allocated to bf3 using precision or AB. If it says youre allocating all of your vram then youre probably going to experience degraded performance and increasing studdering the longer you play thanks to the Frostbite engine's memory leak. If youre maxed out then start turning down your settings.

- Try using stock clocks with slightly increased voltages.

- I know that the Hyperthreading problem was supposedly fixed by Dice but there are still quite a few people reporting improved stability and smoother gameplay with it disabled.

weird thing is the voltages are already maxed on AB for my 580s?\
also uninstalling update now.
I'll report back. I just played longer than ever before on the WHQL drivers though

Sounds like your OC is too high. BF3 is so fussy when it comes to OC. I could loop Unigine Heaven for hours yet still get driver crashes until i clocked down a little bit. Keep us posted.

it crashed when I put it to stock a few days ago too lol.
I saw someone post that the latest java update was messing with origin as well, so I have no idea at this point.
I'll put it on stock but I now have my GPU's on OC mode (580 classy) and I bumped the voltages too so i'll keep trying

could this be part of my issue? Look at bottom right of the image. the mem usage difference between cards 1 and 2 is NUTS, and I dont even think that one of my cards HAS that much memory?

alright guys. happy to report NO ISSUES AT ALL FOR THE PAST 45 minutes/2.5 rounds!!!
thats like 5 times longer than normal lol.
What I did was uninstall java, and I bumped the voltage on my cards, and took the GPU OC off. I'll try to put the OC back on and see if that was the issue and not java. if so, I'll just revert to stock profile for BF3

Would you recommend reverting a factory OC back to reference clocks? I'm at a loss with this one... I've tried all the WHQL drivers, plus the beta ones.
