Somebody tell me I'm doing alright with this configuration please!!!

Thread Starter
Okay, AMD fanboy going Core-Duo & about to hit the "Submit" button on my Newegg Account & hoping for some feedback on my choices (many of which came from reading the forum.. thanks guys!).

I'm not a serious gamer, but enjoy a couple hours every now & again of games like Black & White 2/Sims/Maybe BF2142. I do quite a bit of video editing/encoding & will probably be the main stress on the components.

I plan on overclocking this rig a little bit (thus the reason I choose the H2O).

Please be critical & offer alternatives if you deem something else a better performer for the price. I also want to keep this total <= $1300 if possible. Seeing as I've owned my current PC for about 3 years, that's probably how long I want this one to last with minor upgrades here & there.

I'd be willing to look at a "pre-assembled" PC if the components were worthy.

Please reply soon as I want to get this on order to have it by Monday/Tuesday & thanks in advance for looking!!!!! By the way, I included the descriptions to save clicks for those that know what the items are

You can save some money and get a e6300 and OC it past 6400 speeds...There's no diffrence between the two except the clock speeds

Steer clear from the water cooling kit. Custom is so much better.

Get the GDDR3 version of the 7300GT instead of that one, same price I think.
Everithing else is fine!

I just put two of these in a RAID0 config... it flies. However, they are a little more expensive.

Your PSU is a little over powered and your RAM (667) is under-powered. A 500W PSU and DDR2-800 RAM would serve you better.

Drop the water cooling, go for a lesser PSU to save some cash, and change the hard drives to seagate 7200.10's (for perpendicular redording)). I think that about sums it up
