You can run all you first posted with an AX850. You cannot run a 3rd GTX 680.

3 you would start being borderline , especially if you overclock , overclocking takes up power almost exponentially .. 670 's take less juice but I imagine your not in a gpu switching mood ..

I would say yes. While you lack the native connectors to do so, the GTX 680 is a 190 watt card at most. A dual SLI setup warrants only a 650 watt PSU, so 850 should be plenty for three. Even Phaedrus mentioned this in a thread a while back, I'll try to find it.

Edit: found it: http://www.overclock.net/t/1232664/my-gtx680-psu-wattage-recommendations

If you had a 2500K/3570K or 2600K/3770K you would be able to do 3x 680's, but not with a 3820. When overclocked it consumes a good bit more power.

Yes he can

Isn't that CPU locked anyway aside from a turbo boost?

A third GTX 680 would be a little much if you really crank the overclocks really high and have the machine continuously loaded up. But it's an AX850 with a 7 year warranty, so feel free to run it into the ground IMHO. It'll probably be okay anyway.

Under normal usage, why not? other than having to use molex adapters.
