I'm surprised that re-orienting the computer made that much difference, but there you go. You must be getting much better airflow that way. thumb.gif

If your temps are low now, try to go higher with it. You're almost at 4 GHz and still running at less than 1.3v. You've got a very good 960T there. You might get to 4.5 within acceptable voltage levels, and at 4.5, a 960T beats anything short of an overclocked 2500K. As long as you keep under 1.45v at reasonable temperatures, you're good.

Hi there all, was doing a lot of reading but never posted. Now i want to share my experience with u all.

My best so far, testing it while writing this but im runing prime for 30 minutes now.

Unlocked to 6 cores
Core @ 3795 MHz multy 16.5 Core voltage 1.45 (Cpu z reports 1.424 and max TDP 161W)
Bus speed 230 MHz
HT link @ 2070 Mhz voltage default 1.210v
NB 2760 Mhz voltage 1.2v
CPU NB VID control 1.3v
Ram on auto and 6.66 multy gives 1532 Mhz (1600Mhz is native but due to higher bus i had to lower multy from 8 to 6.66) timings 8:9:8:24 1T (this is on auto too) voltage is defauld of 1.510v

Temperatures i cant measure exactly cos of unlocked cores but motherbard shows max of 54 C so i think it never passed 45C (i have measured when i was on 4 cores the diference of readings)

Im using Ximgatet Gaia SD 1283 12cm cooler and heatsink

So far im very satisfied but i wanna ask what do u guys think? What else should i do to push it a little bit further? And ask me what i forgot to write down and maybe i can help u with smth cos i was playing with this rig for a while but recently i got that cooler.

EDIT just hitted 7430 points in passmark performace test, thats double then stock 960t , on a pair with high end I7 .

shubri, you can share your experience with the 960T here . . .

http://www.overclock.net/t/1189945/amd-zosma-960t-1600t-1605t-cpu-club

here is what i think, though . . . your cpu cooler is designed, if i am not mistaken, for 95w tdp cpus. the 960T once unlocked pulls 125-140w the cpuz reading is not accurate i believe. stock the chip will read 114w instead of 95w.

a more efficient cooler will result in a lower vcore and possibly higher oc. btw, the rest of your settings look excellent. please respond back in the club, pls.
