false, BF3 uses all 8 of my cores..... if yo OC that chip a little higher (4.6) you should be ok, if not I'd recomend 8150/20 I can play on max with no bottleneck (I'm only running 2 6870's tho)
I say go 8150/20 since you already have all the hardware thumb.gif

hello,
the cpu usage sounds about right,i hit about 50~70% usage in bf3.the frame rate drops seem very bad though.have you updated your windows and graphics drivers so that there totally up to date please?
also ,it might be a bios issue as it dose not correctly using your hardware,my bios has been updated 3 times since i got it and is more stable.

It's compiled for only hexa-cores so, if you say the devs are wrong okay I understand. (Might want to go to the hospital)

When I flash bios it says no possible bios file could be found, press any key to retry. I have attempted to update a few times and I'll try again later. But I don't think this is the issue. I have another question, can I overclock my CPU with amd overdrive, or do I have to do it in bios? And also, for those of you with the 8150, what frames do you get with battlefield 3 64 player multiplayer? I am staring to veer towards ditching amd and getting an intel.

Oh, and also, the 8150 is 125w and my motherboard's max is 95w. I just found that out, so I would have to switch out the motherboard anyway right? Of so then there is honestly no point in getting another amd board.

FX-6100 is 95w. I recommend waiting for the FX-6300 just in case you see the FX-6100 95w spec become the 65w spec.

So, in my motherboard's supported cpu's, all of the fx's are there except the 8150. Are wattage and tdp different? If so, what should I do: attemp to overclock my 4100 (which hasn't been successful so far), buy a 6100, 8120 or wait for the 6300? Here is my mobo: http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=576&tab=3
