You're right about that, hadn't read what you said yet but I had it on LLC 1 spiked from 1.25v to 1.275.

LLC 2 works the best for me it appears, only results in a .008v vdroop.

Yea, unfortunately I can't get into Windows @ 4.5ghz no matter what I do though...4.4 is fine, but going to 4.5 makes my bios splash screen stay frozen and nothing can be done. Cant' even hit DEL to go into the bios, and if it does let me, when I move my mouse around the screen gets all distorted :/. Thank god for the clear cmos button.

Change your internal pll overvoltage setting to enabled if it';s disabled, or disabled if it's enabled.

It's disabled, i'll try with enabled.

edit: no go...not sure what it is. My mobo/cpu doesn't like going above 44x multiplier I guess..Surely 4.4ghz is more than enough, especially with my lack of GPU power at the moment, but you know what site we're on biggrin.gif

turbo boost: enabled
Turbo Boost Power Limit: Manual
Long: 500
Long Duration: 1s
Short: 500
Additional Turbo Voltage: Auto

Power Saving: Disable
Your IMC may need a bump to deal with the OC'd CPU, so bump your VTT up a little bit. If it's 1.08 right now, make it 1.1, etc. Just a little bump.
Put your C-States in the correct order. You're using offset, right?
Go to "Advanced" in the ASRock BIOS -> Advanced CPU config.
Leave everything alone except this:
C1E: Enabled
C3: Disabled
C6: Disabled
C-State Package: Auto

Thanks man I really appreciate all this +rep'd.However, it seems my lil ol' Evo just can't keep up. My hottest core, primin small fft @ 4.4ghz is 85, and that's pretty much where I draw the line. I'd like 4.5, but until I get some better cooling, that'll just stay out of my reach for now.

I hope so smile.gif. Also, one more thing, is it normal that 2 of my cores run a bit hotter than the rest? Cores 1 and 4 top out at 80, cores 2 and 3, 85. Also, is 85c safe? I'm hoping my temps never go this high when I'm gaming, but only when i'm stress testing like now.
