Hello all! I have been trying to decide on a cpu cooler for quite some time now. I plan on modestly overclocking my 2500k (hoping for the 4.5-4.8 range) and these are the coolers I've heard the most hype about.

Noctua: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608018
I have heard this cooler being the best of the best (for air), and very quiet too, despite being slightly smaller than the silver arrow.

Silver Arrow: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11676/cpu-tri-77/Thermalright_Silver_Arrow_SB-E_Dual_Fan_Universal_CPU_Cooler_Sockets_775_1156_1366_2011_AM2_AM2_AM3_AM3_FM1.html?tl=g48

I have heard claims that this beats the Noctua (not by much) But it doesn't seem as popular.

If anyone has used/ is using either of these coolers, Your input regarding which is better is very appreciated!

You can't go wrong with the D14 or either of them for that matter.

I have seen claims that Noctua and Silver Arrow are the same. I have seen claims that Noctua is better. I have seen claims that Silver Arrow is better. They are SOOO close in performance, it's hard to tell which is better.

Honestly, your splitting hairs. Just go with whatever your gut tells you. Your not going to notice +/- 1 degree Celsius.

I'm wanting the Silver Arrow, but since Newegg has free shipping, I could get a new case fan with the Noctua (Trying to stay under $100) decisions, decisions...

I was also considering this cooler, but it's just a little too large for my case.
