I had this problem occur on my laptop around a year ago. I was playing MineCraft like I always did on my laptop when all of the sudden the framerate stated to stutter and dip substancially, those lines appeared especially on the water and shortly after my laptop turned itself off. After that day my laptop has never been the same, it just overheats and dies whenever I play minecraft or anything else slightly graphically intensive. From my experience with MineCraft I would say that those odd lines are a result of bad or dying hardware on your end not the game. You can hope that it's some odd driver issue, but it looks like a dying video card to me. Best of luck getting things back in line!

AA has to be forced off (or application controled) in the control panel.
If that doesn't work, then set AA off (or application controled) on the global option. I am 90% certain that will fix it as it fixed it for me on the two times it happened
You don't need to install something like optifine to fix that.

I had this problem once I installed Optifine one time, turning off threaded optimization in the global tab fixed it for me. also try setting Vsync in the global panel as well. Just remember if this works for you that you will need to readjust the settings when you switch to a different game otherwise you may loose performance.
