H80 + 180mm rad?

Thread Starter
Helloo..

I'm thinking of maybe modding my H80 to include another 180 rad, but first of all I'm wondering if it's possible?
I've seen people add "normal" tubing to it, but never included another rad/block.
Or I guess, first of all, if the pump is strong enough?

Pump is plenty, it wont even be affected going from a 120 to a 180.

Yes, the pump can handle it as stated above, however it's not going to change much. If your going to replace the tubing and get a second radiator for it you should just sell it used and buy a RASA RS240 kit for just over $120 USDM. No amount of modding a H cooler would compare to a real water loop. Not to mention if your warrenty is currently in effect it won't be as soon as you "un seal" the sealed water loop. Not worth it at all IMO.

I think the pump is strong enough but thats not an easy mod , most people you see out there with H100's and stuff simply cut tubing down the length of the hose to be able to slip it over the originals.. But more importantly I wonder what you hope to get out of it , you might get to run your fans a bit more quietly it would be an interesting mod though , most people ive talked to that actually did change the tubing basically cut it leaving about an inch of the original ribbed tubing and then bought tubing with the inner diameter slightly smaller so it fits over the ribs tight and then either zip tie to lock or use barb ties.. But even then ideally you would need a reservoir because if you take the water out of the sealed unit itl be almost impossible to bleed the air out without a res..
