u should be fine wtih IPS panels for ANY gaming i highly doubt a monitor makes a person's skills...

Exactly. I don't understand why people rule out IPS panels right away thinking they aren't good at all for gaming. I actually prefer them over crappy TN washed out colors.

Most IPs screens really aren't horrible for gaming, some aren't uber haxor perfect for gaming but will do the job quite fine.

I love my u2412m... All i do is game. I came from a 23 in asus with 2ms response time, and i honestly cant tell the difference between the 2 as far as response time goes. As for image quality, This monitor blows it out of the water. thumb.gif

Any comments for the AOC monitor? It's a great deal, just not sure about the company. Definitely want an IPS though. The only MP game I play lately is Diablo 3. I can't imagine being affected by .000002 second lag from what I have now to what I would get, if there is one at all. I'll get back into BF3 after the patch tomorrow more than likely.

I'm mainly looking for an overall color improvement which is why I wanted an IPS. So, the Dell seems to be the one that most recommend. Just hoping that someone here has/knows of someone with an AOC and has an experience biggrin.gif

I have an AOC 23" LCD... it's taken some unfortunate hits (2' clamp fell and scraped the screen gashing but not too bad - also got scratched in transit) and they're good quality. Not sure if I'd recommend, though; something about it makes me feel uneasy. confusedsmiley.png

Input delay....
What about pixel refresh time? IPS tend to be terribly slow, and thus: ghosting.
