I've never seen or known anyone with any pc connected to their tv.

Well if not to a TV, then used their laptop to show a group of people a youtube video, or throw grooveshark on and make a playlist. I meant use a computer in a social way.

If you missed it here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=9AkPdAWfFjI

Also I find it great how they stereotype some of their fans as being so awkward.
At least we see Nintendo making it's own progress in the mobile/tablet experience.

Keep up in what way? If you mean in terms of hardware capability/performance, there's no chance of that.

Finally! someone got it right and realized that the face buttons are now a secondary function.

That's a non issue so long as the gap isn't as large as it was this gen. Look how weak PS2 was vs GCN and Xbox. Who won that? Power isn't everything. If its atleast strong enough to run new engines it should fare well.

The question is, will Microsoft and Sony copy this concept? If they do then that combined with stronger hardware can hurt Nintendo here badly.

Hopefully it's something like that, PS2 vs GC vs Xbox. PS2 was obvious weaker then both, but wasn't as far behind as the Wii.

Indeed. I think too many people are caught in the *race* of it.
I mean, if the console doesn't win, it's obviously crap right?

Cause that's the point of gaming. To "win".

I enjoy my Wii still, my PS2, my GC games, most of the Xbox(360) games I could just get on PC, that's the only console I haven't really bothered with.
I still have a ridiculous backlog of PS2 JRPGs to get through as well as a few recent Wii titles. (65hrs into Xenoblade, next up The Last Story or Skyward Sword).

But I guess the Wii didn't "win" in the gaming community so I should stop playing it then?

I hope the Wii U does well, I might wait for a price drop but I will surely get it as long they get some solid titles, which Nintendo hasn't failed at yet. People can complain about rehashes, etc, but they put out a good number of fun titles every time.
