Regarding the CM V6 GT mounting hardware for LGA 775

Hi,

A friend of mine just gave me a V6 GT as a present, however it doesn't have the necessary mounting hardware with it. Now after some research and attempting to look for some replacement hardware. I came across this page.

After looking closely at the brackets that go on top of the motherboard, I noticed that they aren't the same ones that come with the V6 GT in the retail package. Would you kindly point me in the right direction here? Keep in mind I live in a country that has a dismal PC market. Even well-known CPU coolers like the 212+ are unheard of here.

I think you should send an email to the US-customer support, detailing the issue

Ask them if the bracket you listed above would fit the V6GT, and if not, where you can get the bracket that does for Socket 775.

May I ask where you live?

Please note that Cooler Master USA only handles orders from USA and Canada.

Depending on where you live, you will have to contact the support team from your region.

I've been in contact with Coolermaster customer support, they too dictated that they don't ship anywhere but the USA and Canada.

However I have a forwarding address located in NY that I have most of my goodies delivered to. Does that make me qualify for ordering the bracket? I was told that was possible to make a custom manual order by the rep I spoke to on the phone.

Please advise, and thanks for the reply.

Where are you currently located? Cooler Master does not dictate where they ship. The region you contacted is CM-USA and only handles USA and Canada orders. For any other regions, you will have to contact the support in that specific region.

Based on my understanding. If you have an address that Cooler Master can ship to in the U.S.A. then you should be fine.

Somebody has to be present on its delivery for confirmation and then shipped to your current location.

Like I mentioned before, I have a forwarding address that's based in the USA. I can have that PMed to you if you're willing to follow up on the issue with me.

I've gotten on the phone/sent e-mails with both CM USA and CM EU as there is no region based in the middle east.

CM USA agrees that the universal mounting hardware (linked in the OP) is not compatible with the V6 GT. They said on the phone that they will make a custom manual order of the V6 GT mounting hardware, but then stopped responding to my e-mails. The last thing I did was send them my US shipping address, then 2 reminders to follow up and that I am ready to order ASAP.

CM EU insists that the universal hardware is compatible with the V6 GT, after my last e-mail insisting that I would rather order the mounting hardware that comes with the V6 GT, they too stopped responding to my e-mails.

So now I'm feeling a little stuck as this is the second day with no reply from either side.

I have similar situation, I need AMD mounting for V6GT, because I have 1055T. It's pretty hard to find that missing part. rolleyes.gif

The 1055T is AM3 socket. The V6GT supports AM3 socket.

Although to update you; I managed to reach the individual on the phone once more and has finally been able to help me with what I need. He redirected me to the parts request page and said that I need to fill the form and that should be sufficient to have a new mounting bracket sent to me.

I'm going to make a parts request tonight for the full mounting bracket for the V6GT and try to follow up with him.

Hopefully the process should go more smoothly now that I know what I need to do.
