Crosshair V EZ-Flash wont load

Thread Starter
I'm trying to start up EZ-Flash in the UEFI, but everytime I try to load it, the screen stays black.

I can update it perfectly through the O/S though, which I hate doing just in case I have a BSOD or some other crash.

Any suggestions? Using the latest 1402 BIOS at the moment.

I'm using a 1055T, I should use a earlier BIOS? :S woulden't I miss on all the system stability improvements from the newer BIOS's though?

Just flash in DOS. It's certainly safer than Windows, and even safer than EZ Flash smile.gif

Follow this guide to make your flash drive bootable, then throw on the bios file from Asus site and bupdater (under BIOS Utilities) on the root directory of the flash drive. Boot to the flash drive and do bupdater.exe /iROMNAME.ROM and there you have your BIOS flashed.

That's why it's generally advisable to flash at stock..

Any time i flash from bios i use a usb flash drive, other wise i have been useing the flash tool in windows for the last few years on manny asus boards,
and have never had one problem. In windows i always down load the bios to desk top and than just drag and drop it in the flash utility
If you do it in windows, if you see it act as though it stopped working just wait a couple minutes.
