as a car and pc enthusiast/maniac isn't that the start/stop button used in hondas? I'm thinking of a civic from your car's interior or maybe a accord. btw no stalking intended.

haha you are right it is. I got it off ebay the company who i bought it from just uses a universal button and just changes the wiring needs with each car.

How are you planning on connecting that power button?

I wanted to do something like that but I have no idea how xD

I love it! it took a bit to get use to since its such a weird mouse compared to others. you have to play with it until you find the right fit for you. took me a good week of using and a tweaking how long the palm rest was and so on. I used a regular mouse while i painted my RAT7 and it just didnt feel right. I sucked at games without it lol.

I wish i bought it too. A huge brake like that is nice for if you need to do large bends all at once but for the small stuff its harder. Im glad i got my Metal seamer. After using it for a while i understand how to use it better and i can bend really well with it now. Using it for my mesh atm and works wonders.

The power button isn't hard to wire. I thought so myself at first but its pretty easy once I had the switch in my hand. So power switch's for PC's are momentary switches meaning they give a short burst of power to the motherboard which then turns on the rest of the PC. Your MB always carry's full power but it really isn't used until it gets that signal from the power switch. Then all the power is given to the rest of the components.

The Push button is a momentary switch as well. In cars its the same deal just with a starter attached to the other end and not a MB rolleyes.gif. It has four prongs. Two are for the positive and negative and the other two are for the led inside the switch to let you know that your "car" is on. In my case my PC is on. Cool eh! I will post pictures when it comes time to wire that puppy up. Which I hope isn't long from now. I really wish I had some time off from work and school to really just finish this all at once.

Speaking of pictures......my camera decided to have no battery today so i got some pictures but not much. I'm sorry i don't have time to upload pictures at the moment because i have to go to bed for work all day and night tomorrow. 12 hour shift tomorrow yay! -_-

Tomorrow i will try post some pictures. I'm really sorry i haven't for a while. I got my hands full atm with life and work.

Is it possible to switch out a momentary switch to an old school latching? or are newer systems not able to handle it?

What is a metal seamer actually used for? And how thick is the metal youre bending? The thing is I need to bend .05 inch//16guage/ 1.5mm aluminum with it, so I think I have to get the brake even though my pieces wont be that big. Your metal looks pretty thin if I see correctly. But I know what you mean, it will probably sit in the garage after this project tongue.gif

No every PC uses this system. They do sell latching momentary switches. You just have to Google around and find the right one for your needs. thumb.gif

Metal seamers are just handheld metal brakes. I don't know from the top of my head how thick it is but i got it from ace. Its a 6 x 12 sheet used for "arts and crafts" stainless steel which is a PITA to bend. If you going to bend metal that thick i would go for the brake. But maybe buy two or three of the stainless steel sheets i bought from ace. They are really cheap. 2-4 bucks each. And do some test bends on that till you get the hang of how the brake works. I wish I did this myself. I had to go and buy new sheets because I was messing up so much and it isn't easy to straighten metal once it is bent unless you had a press. i have seen metal brakes go for 100+ so thumb.gif and go look at it in the store. My girlfriend couldn't stop playing with it lol

I know what you mean. most of the tools I bought wont be used after this =/ but 40 bucks for a metal brake is amazing deal and might be worth the money if you are bending a lot of thick metal. but for me it wasn't since it was such as small sheet and application.

Update!

So in came the mail with a custom part from an amazing ocn memeber here on the forums by the name of Dwood. His work is amazing. I ordered some custom gpu covers and here they are

450

They are sweet! Im going to paint then and add a logo to them.

262

This is a prototype that I send to dwood

450

I started reassembling of the case! thumb.gif

450

450

450

Then it was off to the boat for 4th of july! fireworks on the gulf!

450

MERRRICAAA!! lol

450

Pretty fireworks! this was small compared to some of the huge ones the county lit off. Man were they big. i wish i could of taken a picture of it but i would of had to do a panorama shot which doesn't work with fireworks lol.

Anyways when i came back home I finished with cleaning the case and making sure i assembled it all correctly.

That is it for now. I will upload more tonight as I have to leave for work. Keep checking back! I'm glad you guys are enjoying this build as much as I am!

Great, thanks for the response! Sorry to jack your thread but you are doing so many things that are relvant to my current build redface.gif That backplate looks awesome! You really just give him an idea and he designs it, cuts it for you, and then ships it out? How long does it take?
