Honestly, I would have to suggest getting one powerful card rather than SLI'ing two lower end cards, especially 400 series.

ummm. IMHO why the hell are you bothering about a new system when you run an ancient resolution. Your games are going to look crap at that quality anyway. Medium settings at a crisp clean clear 1920x1080 > high settings on a muddy low resolution.

FYI I run battlefield 3 on lowest settings (I sold one of my 570s) so I can maintain 100-120fps, higher resolutions and framerates are king over advanced graphics, even games like half life 2 still look amazing if youve got those sorted

I honistly would pass on even buying a gts450. I got a dumb gaming buddy who is running two of them in sli. He gets worse performance then one of my OCed 470s. You would be better off getting a used 4890 for 50-80bucks and overclocking, Card is not only faster but OCs like a champ. Or pick up a used gtx460 1gb 256bit card for 100-120. Though You really need a new monitor, 1360x768 is a pretty low rez to run games on.

If your going after a newer card I would pick up the newer 900mhz 7750(with the pci-e plug for better overclocking), Would give you the same performance your looking at with much less power draw. Plus you could CF in the future and not have to worry about fermi's high power usage.

OP said he was looking for the best GPU to run 768p and I simply threw out the card that I loved when I gamed at that res. Its a nice and cheap card that you can get for around $60 and you seem bent on him getting a 7750. ;D

OP is running 768p almost anything is going to run like butter at that rez.

Out of your list....try and find a 2GB 6950 (ideally one that unlocks to 6970). That way you can max out everything at your current resolution and if you ever upgrade to a high res screen you won't be hurting.

That's true, but that doesn't mean it's the best solution for him.

It may not be the best solution but it is very cheap and easily upgraded. If OP wanted he could technically run games at 1920x1200p but it will be fuzzy. (my experience with my tv)
