There is a long discussion on guru3d about this from the creator of msi afterburner. The driver does not report the proper voltage. In short, you are incorrect. Afterburner and precision
DOES NOT show the proper voltage even if its over 1175mV.

Uhhh. You asked "Does GPU-Z?". I took that as "does GPU-Z report voltage over 1.175v? I said that it does not. Maybe I misunderstood your question? Were you even asking a question? Meh I guess I'm confused now. Not the first time.

Are there any high res shots of the pcb on this card? What pwm does this card use? Does it use the same CHiL 8318 that is found on the lightning. I heard somewhere that it uses the Richtek RT8802A.

Just wanted to report my experience thus far with these in SLI. Will post screens later

My card boosts to 1200mhz stock, I set the memory to +600 and my core to +12 making it 1800 memory and 1215mhz core

My Heaven score was 2664 my Asus TOP (max oc) cards score 2552

My first 3dmark11 run I scored 161XX (cant remember)
My TOP card was 158XX

I am doing an Extreme 3dmark11/regular 3dmark Vantage when I get home run now and I have to jet out the house. These cards are amazing! They are loud at max fan speed but its more than worth it for the serious increase in performance over my SLI TOP cards (I have gone through 2 sets of SLI setups with the TOP and the second set was embarrassing so I am not even posting the results). I HIGHLY recommend these over the TOP.

Yeah it's loud at max, but I think most if not all cards are. I doubt many people will ever run max fan speed though. I don't know how it is with SLI, but I find this card maintains temps around the low to mid 60s with a fan speed of about 45%, where it just starts to become audible at that point. This is from my testing running Heaven loops as well as while playing BF3 at 1440p and Ultra settings.

Speaking of temps, I was messing with my fan speed in AB yesterday, and forgot to hit "apply" after setting it to auto again. So my fans were locked at the minimum (30%). I played BF3 for a bit over an hour, and the GPU temp never broke above 72 C. Pretty good I thought at minimum cooling while under load.

LOL!! tongue.gif

72c at only 30% fan speed? incredible if you ask me! smile.gif

I know my EVGA 670 FTWs would melt if they ran at 30% fan speed

Just hooked mine up. Max boost on stock is 1189, with a Kepler Boost of 91 if you go by the boost clock listed in GPU-Z, which is 1098 NOT the advertised 1079. Heaven run on max gave me a little over 1fps higher than my ASUS GTX 670 DCII, which expected given the factory overclock. Temps seem to be about 6 degrees cooler than the ASUS, but the fan is a little bit louder to my ears. Nothing too bad though, except on startup as others noted. Power percent on stock during Heaven never goes about 86%. My ASUS went as high as 127 on stock, resulting in the core clock jumping around like crazy. So far, I'm really happy. I'll let Heaven loop for a few hours tonight to double check stability and then get to overclocking a bit over the weekend.

My memory is at 1852 stable now. I am counting on msi afterburner update to get the core higher but I really don't care because this is demolishing my Asus top sli benchmarks.

I see your running in SLI....how is the top card handling it? I know exhaust dump into case cards usually don't like SLI, even if their is spacing

I think everything is quite smooth. Temps are great and they are acting right...or so it seems. I have a 120mm fan blowing directly on their side and this lowers temps 5 Celsius each. And yeah there is a nice space for each.
