what numbers do you get in HEAVEN maxed settings?

I don't have a 1080p monitor anymore since my projector exploded frown.gif but am running 3952x1024 via 3 monitors which is around double the amount of pixels vs 1080p. No idea how fps scales with resolution so I don't know if you can take anything from these numbers.. But I get 28 fps +/- 2 at 3952.

Remember seeing around 54/55 before projector went bang. I have had 1370+ stable in the afterburner tests but those weren't stable in heaven so I backed it down to 1333

4th revision of the Twin Frozr design and they still haven't fixed that problem?

Both of my GTX 460 Hawks (One Talon) suffer from this, and both are the fan closest to the I/O.

It also varies based on heat. On a cold boot the fan rattles like a monster. When heated they quiet down. Also, ramping fan to 100% and waiting for it to go away then dropping the fan back down is another workaround, but it will come back if the card is still cool.

Thought they may have fixed it on their new cooler, but looks like they haven't. Shame, considering I'm deciding between this and the ASUS card, the ASUS is looking like the better card for acoustics.

Also, it looks like this design actually has smaller fans than their previous designs. Could be a picture illusion though. Anyone able to confirm measurements on the fans?

Yeah looks like I'm still on the fence whether to get this card or the Asus. Kinda sucks cause I have a bit of a blue theme going in my case now and those Asus cards would kill it!tongue.gif

It's a good card. The boot noise due to the anti dust technology is a minor annoyance, but is minimized if you use a SSD and Windows boots quickly. You may want to put in some earplugs though if you plan to spend any lengthy period of time in your mobo BIOS though. biggrin.gif

It's also good to see a card push past the 1300 mark. Still, it's probably a good idea to wait and see what comes of this overvolting thing. There are still plenty in stock at Newegg if you're in the states, although that may change quickly if it does turn out we can overvolt these cards and the results are positive.

Hello! wave2.gif
bgineng asked me to post my reply also on this thread, so here it is! biggrin.gif my current benchmark

My overclock is 1258 core/3557 mem.

What are your max clocks?

Core: 1325Mhz / Mem: 3557MHz (stable in heaven) thumb.gif
If I increase the core offset, I can reach about 1350MHz on core in 3dmark 11 but heaven crashes some times. (I didn't do it for those tests)

In AB:
Core Voltage: +0mV (doesn't seam to do any difference anyway)
Power Limit: 114% (Max)
Core Clock: +97Mhz (I'll tweak that higher later if I can)
Memory Clock: +550Mhz

All my tests passed under 62°c (~59 average) specool.gif

Heaven:
571

3DMark 11:
378

Hey. Nice, first p/e card I've seen with a higher OC than mine. What was your max fan speed and ambient temperature?
Got mine about a week ago. I love it sooo much:D(Upgarding from a gt545 lol). It runs EVERYTHING on ultra!

I might post some youtube vids about it(benchmarking, etc.) I you all want me too biggrin.gif

With my Air-conditioner, temperature in my room never goes over 24°c.
I set the fan curve to a 1:1 ratio. When it goes to 40°c, fan goes to 40%. 50°c = 50%, 60°c = 60%... ect
As I said, the little beast never gone over 62°c yet. thumbsupsmiley.png

That's a pretty aggressive fan profile, and this card's fans get a bit noisy at 60% as you've probably discovered. I think your profile is hitting diminishing returns. My card keeps 62c at around 44% fan speed just using the auto profile in AB, and the fans are just barely audible at that level (I can just start to hear them at 42%).
