Ok... then since I kinda won the silicon lottery this year and that is in fact a big investment, I wont do it.
It would've been just for fun anyway, to experiment something that I've never done but it's too risky with that card.

So lets not let this thread die...How many have tested the new bios from tecfreak? How are you liking it so far, is there any indication that it unlocks a higher voltage? Still unsure about a possible flash yet as I'm already past the 1300 barrier.

Mine went up around 20mhz when I put the new bios on. Not much but it did make a difference.

Tecfreak's BIOS actually makes my card slower. With the original BIOS I can OC to 1325 stable but with Tec's the card throttles and sticks to 1280MHz. I'm not sure why but if someone comes up with a BIOS that works to push the card higher than 1325 PM me.

I want bios for the card gtx 670 Power Edition oc please
post #436 of 939
I can't find the bios for the this card is it really necessary because 1.2.3 seems to work just fine at +30volt +100core +550mem.

You want the original BIOS for the Power Edition OC?

No, I have the ones that the card came with. I was wondering if getting the new bios is worth it, like does it yield better performance.
I haven't heard anything about a new official BIOS for the card. There is a guy - tecfreak - who has been doing lots of stuff with unlocked voltages for kepler. I think he's done some posts in this thread:
http://www.overclock.net/t/1286239/the-gtx-680-670-unlocked-voltage-discussion-thread

He may have a BIOS that helps overclocking. the stock BIOS is pretty good tho.
