So let me get this straight

For those with MSI 670 PE, it allows you to go +100mv, but it won't show up in MSI AB? You will just have to take MSI's word for it, and it's going above 1.175mv, even though its not showing?

Also, there is a new bios out with locked voltage?

Well actually MSI is claiming that it only goes up to 1.175, they wont really tell us what the core voltage slider does...

But... we know that the core voltage slider does in fact increase the maximum overclock possible, so its quite obvious it does increase the voltage.

If only someone besides me would test with a DMM. Not hard to google the points if you don't know what to touch.

my friend just got two 670 PE/OC cards...he will be testing each individually with stock voltage...and then testing where it goes +100mv....if it allows higher OC, then most likely it will be voltage.....however eternal7trance does bring up a point....someone else needs to put a DMM on it just to make sure

will report back with some results next week

Your bridges came with your mobo. I haven't seen nV cards come with SLI bridge. ATI/AMD cards on the other hand do come with crossfire bridges.

I got my card 2 weeks ago and was very disappointed with false advertising so called " POWER EDITION"doh.gif

My first card went up on Kepler boost up to 1189 MHZ as you know they won't overclock well with voltage locked at 1.175
I figured if I would be lucky enough and get a card that would go up on Kepler Boost little over 1200 MHZ I could just live with it (although what's the point when I actually enjoy overclocking experience, and its why I got this card in the first place)thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

I exchanged first card for a second just to find out the other one bost clocked only to 1150 MHZ and no room for overclock what so ever. I said enough is enough paying premium for something that not. thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

I did some review and seam the only card that allows you to do Voltage tweak and overclock like it should is MSI 680 GTX Lighting now I know that nvidia forced the bios on these as well but accordin to this thread the new bios lifts restrictions that nvidia forced on them. So there may be a hope for 670 PE owners as well. I dont feel like waiting/Hoping so I'm going with Lighting specool.gif
PS: Lighting has DMM check points So I dont have to wory about blowing $400 card in the air thumb.gif

NOTE: A "New" LN2 BIOS version (80.04.09.00.3A) has been identified and tested as having the same voltage control with the same max vGPU as the original LN2 BIOS (80.04.09.00.F8). This was tested and confirmed by Killbuzzjrad, so thanks go to him!
While this LN2 BIOS version is considered new, it does not contain the expected voltage restrictions that NVIDIA has recently imposed. Therefor, I fully expect to find another "new" version sometime in the near future that does have the restricted voltage. As soon as we identify that version, we will post the information here!
