After installing my 600T's mesh side panel and 2X side 120mm fans, even jamming Witcher @ MAX settings does not let the temps go more than 80 for my top (hottest) card. Averaging around 70-78. Bottom card is between 5 to 10 degrees less than that.

The mesh panel and fans sorted the temps but now I don't have my window panel installed to see my baby from the inside out frown.gif

What would be cool is if I could get one on those full acrylic side panels for my 600T from MNPCTECH with two holes in it. I don't mind paying $125 for the item but $400-$450 on shipping to South Africa alone is daylight robbery. That will total in at 4X the price I paid for the chassis! Sigh...

I wanted to but I am finding it difficult to locate some small u-channel. Importing again is way too expensive. I can only get as small at to fit on 1mm thick sheeting but not 0.8mm.

The laser cutting is no issue as I know someone who can do it for a good price.

Hello all,

First time to forum, had this card now for a couple months now though haven't o/c it yet as I am wary of the temps.

Just played an hour of Shogun 2 on high settings and temps were hitting 65c, now I read that the max temp for a 670 is 70c so that doesn't leave me much room to o/c.

My case is RV02 and when gaming i have the 180mms fans on max. My room is small and quickly becomes hot, so hoping the winter will adjust some temps for me smile.gif

I was wondering if it was a smart move to Re-TIM my card and would i void the warranty? If not then which TIM would you guys recommend?

I have some IC Diamond 24 but would MX-4/MX-2 be worth a shot??

Cheers

You won't void the warranty if you remove the heatsink. And I use Noctua NT-H1 TIM for everything.

Hey boss, welcome to the forum!

Are you using a stock fan profile? Generally speaking, most fan profiles (even with aftermarket coolers) favor silence over performance (temp wise)....so with that said, you can always turn up the fan speed slightly and bring that temp down to around 60-61C....the Twin Frozr 4 is a very effective and quiet cooler, so the increase in fan speed shouldn't bother you too much

oh yeah totally forgot to answer your question regarding re-TIM....you will be fine leaving the stock TIM....try adjusting the fan first....if you can get awesome results by turning up the fan speed just a little, why bother taking apart the cooler?

but if you're really itching to open her up....go for it! I use Noctua NT-H1 on my ASUS cards....they dropped 1-2C, so not much going on....but I hear MX-4 is great TIM for GPU's!! thumb.gif
