Ok lol.

Sorry...typing on ny phone. I actually fixed the problem. I had to disable C3 & C6 in the motherboard. it was a known problem on my motherboard. Now my graphics card makes a slight whining noise (very quiet though). Stopped the fan but the noise was still present.
Sounds like coil whine.

Make sure it's not your PSU. My Seasonic X-650 coil whines when the GPU is loaded. Not sure why, only did it when I had my old 460 SLI setup; running one card didn't cause it to whine, but now with the 670 it whines.

Nothing that can be done except for buying a different model; kind of a lottery system.

Question for those of you in this thread

could you all give me an idea of how your cards perform temp wise while gaming? Im trying to get an idea on how my card is performing while gaming. My card runs around 47-52c while playing Borderlands 2 or WoW or really any other game. The gpu usage is never maxed out, but it will run into the 60-70% load range. The card is completely stock and still within my return period and not sure if the card is up to snuff so to say

overvoltage, hours in unigne heaven, 100% load = 65c max with a proper fan profile.

mind showing a screen shot of your fan profile or maybe sharing the file for it?

im curious what people are using for a good fan profile....right now mine is like 45c = 40%, 50c = 45%,55c =50% etc

Close to 1:1 profile, that's already a descent profile for me.
But well, if what you mean by good is something that cools the gpu enough and still not being too noisy, I guess it depends on each one's tolerance of noise.

Ok, I've had many fan profiles and realized that it doesn't really make a noticeable difference past ~60--70% (about 1 or 2 c) and tf4 is unfortunately loud past 50%.
So, here's mine:

On iddle you wont need more then 30% (AB doesn't allow going under)
gaming in casual games like bf3, skyrim... will bring you around ~50c so about 50% is reasonable.
Now, ~70% personally doesn't bother me because I have an air conditioner 3 feet from my head I don't hear the fans below 70%... rolleyes.gif
You might want to tweak that a little so it doesn't go over... lets say ~60% under 65c.

Or... leave it that way if (like me) you've had the crazy idea of installing an air-conditioner 3 feet from your head biggrin.gif

Ok an update. I found the source...It was actually my hard drive! So then I tested the fans and the sound stopped so I guess my fans make the small noise. rolleyes.gif

The GPU fans?

If so: Complain to MSI. Help get this ball rolling and force them to give out replacement fans which don't have this design flaw.
