MSI GTX 670 Power Edition Twin Frozr 4 cooler! - Page 60

Hey peeps,

New to overclocking, I have just started to overclock and so far I've found it stable using +100 core clock and +550 mem clock.
Mem 3557 and core clock 1280Mhz.

I wanted to ask if it was safe to have max core voltage and max power 24/7?

Thanks

My Best Score so Far :

3DMARK 11 Score = P10086

Core Offset = +170
Memory Offset = +663
Full Overvoltage

CPU @4.4 Ghz Intel core i5 3570K, and core clock @1320 Mhz, Mem @1831 Mhz.

I know I can get higher than that, this card is amazing...

How do you guys see the issue of this card here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1328168/first-time-nvidia-buyer-which-gtx-670-should-i-even-go-with-nvidia ?? Is there light to this issue now?

The thing is that it was very obvious that MSI did not go abide the specs of the PWM circuitry. In response to Nvidia's rage against them, MSI released a new BIOS that limits the free overclock boost. This means that they are guilty and didn't even revised the board.

I'm contemplating on buying a Gigabyte GTX 670 or a MSI PE GTX 670 and still couldn't decide. I seem to like the MSI PE until I knew about this issue going around.

has anyone found a water block for this card?

Is it even possible to go above 1.175 with this card now? I tried afterburner and precision and only gets to 1.175.

Finally got around to play around with this GPU, and i am currently rock-solid stable @ 1280mhz

However, i feel like i should be able to get more from this card! When i try to bump up the clock speed further, its starts throttleing whenever the power hits ~103%, although i got the power set to 114%. Does anyone else get this? My temperatures are perfectly fine and rarely hits 62C (Furmark gets it to 64C).

My card is 80c when I play FarCry3.I had to lower my frames & some other settings. If I could find a water Block for this card then I could really see what this card can do. But on every other game I'm around 60-70c.

Damn that's hot :S. Dosen't your clock throttle like hell at those temps? Im running at ~1304mhz, but it keeps throttleing from 1280-1304 back and forth, whenever it hits the 103% TDP mark. Im so sad i can't seem to break that limit :'(, might try to flash one of the alternative BIOS' today, to see if that allows me to go higher, or even edit the voltage in the BIOS, even though that shouldn't be an issue on the Power Edition

Of I can find a water block that fits. Then I would push it. But yeah...that hot

Managed to break 1.3ghz today (barely O.o), my card seems to not throttle at a voltage of +30. Im currently working on 1320mhz, but it keeps throttleing when i push the voltage to +40 and i hit the 103% TDP that my card refuses to pass.... +30 crashes the driver, so i obviously need more voltage tongue.gif off to work on the Aux voltage!
