I can't imagine you running that on a stock TF4....NV has specifically locked down all voltage control on all 600 series cards.

And I would consider you part of a very minor crowd if you think the DC2 is less pleasing than the TF4.....I mean seriously, you can't even hear the DC2 in most cases

Not modified, just a nice card! wink.gif 1.3v on a stock MSI GTX 670 Power Edition card!

I did HAVE a DCII 670 dual card, not going that route again. I don't care if I am part of a minor crowd, who likes a cooler that is by no means loud (it's audible) at a voltage, no other cards can even match!

Well if you haven't heard, all 600 series cards are locked after a fiasco by Nvidia a few months after launch of unlocked voltage cards...I'm not sure how you got 1.3v on a completely bone stock setup...I heard the older 670's were unlocked but I didnt think it would be as high as 1.3v, more like 1.2-ish range (aka MSI lightning)...but the way you made it sound earlier was that all 670 PEs were far better overclockers than anything else, which is not the case....especially now considering everything brand new is locked from the factory

You sir, are incorrect smile.gif, PE cards are overvoltable, software readings are incorrect, multimeter gives me 1.305 at max smile.gif

I'm far from a fanboy. I mean seriously, the way you presented yourself make it seem like the MSI 670 PE is god's gift to earth. You make it sound like it can stomp the competition in OC. Sorry to tell you, it doesn't.

Please go read up on the facts. Nvidia has locked this crap down. If you have the older version, good for you....that still doesn't mean every single one is going to OC great....there are Gigabytes out there that run higher than your 1359 but on STOCK voltage. Its all a toss up. You act like the MSI is superior in everything from OC to noise. It's not, especially considering every 600 series card is locked down now.

Every card, except this. nVidia had MSI disable overvolting in Afterburner v2.2.4, v2.2.3 works just fine. On stock voltages I am unable to reach 1280mhz, when overvolting to 1.294 on multimeter, i run rock stable at 1359. I am perfectly aware that many EVGA GTX 670 FTW cards beat mine, even a stock voltages, but they are taking advantage of cherry picked chips. You are correct in most of what you are saying, but just to stubborn to be corrected. I enjoy the numbers on my multimeter, feel free to enjoy the made up numbers in your head. I do not know, if MSI somehow disabled overvoltage in the newer cards, my card overvolts, with great success.

These MSI cards are superior in terms of overclock, but by no means in term of noise. Many cards beat them, the WF3 and DCII being two of them. The WF3 is an amazing cooler, the DCII has a weird pitch, which i do not like, therefore i will stick with the TF4. I never said the TF4 was quiter, only that it was more comfortable to me.
