I use precision X idk if maybe power limit is broken in afterburner. I have heard that before in previous versions. Maybe search the topic otherwise I'm out of ideas. Any specific reason why you rather have msi over galaxy bios?
Sorry double post. But quick question off topic what voltage you running at and line load on that cpu. I have a friend trying to overlook but I'm not to familiar with ivy bridge yet. I'm assuming that's on air.

I also tried the latest Precision 4.0 (I think), but nothing new.
Currently I have default vbios. I don't want to use galaxy bios, I just tried whether it will work better as default or not...
I mentioned before that I contacted MSI support, and currently waiting for their respond.

Voltage for 3570K - 1.32V under load. Yes air cooling (Corator DS). Temps little bit higher (up to 75C) as expected (Ivy thermal compound).

I'm drawing a blank hopefully msi can help you. These multiple revisions of the power edition really screw things up. I guess I got two newer versions cause both perform without issue. Except now I'm maxing out 2gbs frown.gif

whatever happened to this crap that MSi cards were to interact with Afterburner more thoroughly then the others, especially the PE and TF cards.?

MSI lied, AB died. frown.gif

On the whole I'm none too pleased with the whole Kepler Boost, Max Boost, Actual Boost, limit this, throttle that, etc... shenanigans on the 600 series. OC on 400 and 500 made sense. This stuff is for the birds.

in total agreement...

There is nothing special between MSI cards and AF... maybe "triple-overvoltage" sliders and that's all...
Main issue is in the video card bios so blaming software is useless.
Moreover if I simulate 114% power limit directly in vbios, it's still not solving problem. This "bug" or whatever it is, is more deeply in bios, ie I need help from MSI.

Edd,

I'm getting the same issue as you. I have one of the older revisions where the unofficial voltage tweaking still worked. No matter what, the power limit never goes over 100%, even if set higher.

Very curious to get it resolved!
