looks good you may want to enable power% in AB graph and note how steady and how close to max you are . GPU-Z says 253% but that might be glitch .

If your hitting TDP limit you could try lower voltage offset against core clock rate till you find sweet spot .
for example core offset = 30-50mv @1280

I would only worry in games you play or use .

hey folks 670 pe/oc owner here. wondering if its ok to run this thing with out messing with the fan profile.

it runs nice and quite, but it cranks up all the way to 80c (no higher, I'm assuming it is throttling itself) when playing borderlands 2 and a few other games. if I ramp up the fan profile through afterburner, it will get much louder, but still get into the 70c pretty easily. I guess borderlands is pretty taxing when the physx is on high. the max its boosting itself to 1226, then I guess throttling. What do you guys think?

After 70C your card should throttle itself, resulting in less performance (some cards, like mine, does not seem to suffer from temperature throttleing). If you are okay with the potential loss in performance, you can let it run pretty hot.
Next, you have got to wonder why nVidia set this throttleing limit at 70C? There must be some reason that this is the limit, and not 80C. Therefore i like to keep my card below 70C

Yea I figured as much. I might pop off the cooler and put some better paste on to see if that helps the temps a bit. thanks for your input

How is the air flow though your case that is a bit warm.

this is what the case looks like:

There are two 92mm fans pulling air in from the front, then one 140 exhausting out of the back (I flipped the fans from when this pic was taken which is why it looks like the fan is an intake), and another 140 pushing through the phanteks. with the lid on the case there is a huge side vent right next to the fans on the gpu. then the psu exhausts air out of the oppasite side of the case from the gpu

Your temps seem really high. What are the temps if you leave the side of the case off? I'm curious if its an airflow issue or issue with your cooler.

Ok so I just tested with the cover on and the cover off, and the temps were about the same for both. I cranked the fans up pretty high, but it still breached the 70's c.

Here are some pictures to support the fact that air shouldn't be a problem. I popped the fan filter off and this is how close it sits to outside air. nothing but the filter between the fans and the outside, so I would think it would have plenty of fresh air?

Ok I didn't realize there was a dust filter next to the GPU, thought the case was solid. Defiantly a problem with the GPU, unfortunately MSI will not RMA it because your temps are still safe.
