3 mobos, which one?

So I found out that I will be getting either the Sabertooth Z77 or the G1. Sniper 3. I need to know if it is really worth spending the extra money on the sniper or just buy the sabertooth.

I will be OC a TON after I think 3.8ghz isn't enough with the 3570K IB

A little GPU OC, GTX 280(will upgrade later)

Might go SLI someday....

Stability

I need to know which mobo to buy, if it is really worth spending 280 bucks on the sniper or about 200 on the sabertooth.

I was also thinking about the extreme6 form askrock... I know they lack features n all but still

My opinion: only get the Sniper if you're planning to go for Quad SLI/QuadFire. The Z77 Sabertooth looks gorgeous and on top of that, it's 50$ cheaper and will overclock just as excellently.

So my opinion: go for the Z77 Sabertooth. smile.gif

I'd definitely get the Sabertooth. They are probably the best bang for buck mobos in the Asus lineup, ethusiast-wise.

Well I won't be going 4 way sli, I will just be doing 2 way, maybe 3. So BIOS talking, how user friendly interface is it? And how easy is it to OC the cpu to 3.8 or 4?

It's a pea. A Cakewalk with a capital C. Nothing hard about it once you know how these things work a bit. Only about three important factors (BClock, Multiplier and VCore).

And yes, it's dead simple to get a 3.8GHz or 4GHz OC. It's not even considered an achievement anymore nowadays. I'm sure that with the Z77 Sabertooth and decent enough cooling, you could hit well up to or even past 4.5GHz OCed. smile.gif
