Looking for a file recovery program

Thread Starter
My sister formatted her computer without backing up her photos and now shes immensely annoyed and i was wondering if any of you know some software that will recover your photos, we've tried easeUS and its not very easy to use nor is it quick, we're not afraid of spending money. Shes hoping for a program that will almost return the hdd to its former state, so everything will just be there, but She only needs the photos and nothing else. Help please...

Try photorec - also, piriform's recuva.

I would make sure she doesn't install or copy ANYTHING to the computer at this point, as anything she writes to the disk could be overwriting the files that you want to recover. Also, it would be wise to recover them to ANOTHER disk for the same reason. In other words, don't save to the same disk you are recovering from.

Next time, Ensure your sister about importance of taking backup. Not all users have luck like yours because much of their documents were either overwritten or far away to reach from any powerful recovery program.
