While this may not be specifically a motherboard issue, this seemed like the best place to put this problem. I apologize if this belongs in a different section.
Yesterday, I installed my new 990FX Sabertooth. I had just finished setting up my watercooling, consisting of a triple rad and an OCZ Waterblock (got it for free, thought I may as well try it out). The fans on the radiator are weak at this point, I haven't had time to upgrade the Bitfenix Spectre Pro's to Yate Loon Mediums, or something with more static pressure.
Everything went beautifully on the first startup. I posted, and went into BIOS. The motherboard immediately recognized my hard drive and selected it as the primary boot. My 1090T temp was high due to the reasons above (30C on start). While it was high for watercooling, I wanted to boot anyways just to make sure I could boot from the hard drive properly and worry about my temps later. I got as far as the "Windows is Starting" scene. The little colored balls flew in from wherever, and made the Windows symbol. When the screen was about to change, the screen flashed like someone had hit the reset button and restarted the computer. Once again I booted into BIOS just to make sure everything was alright. I was only at 31C, which isn't too hot to boot, and tried booting again. The same thing happened. Frustrated, I shut everything down and went to bed. My very first though was my CPU was too hot. But thinking deeper about it, that can't be the issue because the chip has been subjected to at least 35C previously, and it's not even close to the chip threshold.
What could be going on? Any ideas?
