It's simply stupid. You can't upgrade GPU on this MBO and that's main disadvantage.

there is a fanless radeon 7750 series card out there...
Saphire Ultimate HD 7750

but really, where are the PCIe slots! You have to use Thunderbolt... hmm... eGPU? (you CAN upgrade the GPU)

Won't lie... it's pretty cool smile.gif But completely useless as a platform. There's absolutely no upgrade option, they are probably 7970M (I don't believe there are two high-end cores on there, despite the insane power connectors).

Put a decent chipset onto an ITX or mATX, then we're talking. Give the lower-end some much needed power, if it fails in the enthusiast market, it will give the AMD's APU something to compete against. If your spending half a grand on a motherboard alone, then another $300-$1000 for a CPU, you'll want something that can be swapped out when the current generation just won't cut it.

reasons why I see this could be a fail

1. Inaquadate cooling for high end GPU's
2. Not upgradable as the GPU's are soldered in
3. Nice idea but it'll carry a premium price for Intel's flagship platform (X79(

If I had money, I would buy this and put it in a display case in my PC room. Don't care if its a total flop, I'll still think its amazing biggrin.gif

It might suck for e-peen gotta have the best of everything individuals of this site, but I personally don't upgrade for about 3 years.

The idea is pretty much perfect for me as hopefully this leads to smaller designs with other chipset platforms.
