True, when I think about the amount of cards that sometimes get RMA'd due to artifacts... in this case it would mean RMA'ing the entire board (which is probably going to be QUITE expensive depending on the GPUs housed on it).
I also see this product to be more of a prestige thing to show what they are capable of but I'm pretty sure this will hit market nonetheless even if that means limited quantitiy (kinda like the MARS cards by Asus).

Again, power connectors dont mean anything. They could aswell put bigger connectors on it to be on the safe side. Have you ever seen a passive cooled graphics card? Do so if you haven't.
The HD 6850 SCS3 by Powercolor is a good example. A mere 130W TDP card (or was it even less?), yet it still got around 95°C hot which is pretty much at the limit, and thats a low to mid-tier GPU with low power consumption.
There isn't even the slightest chance that heatsink could cool two 7970's...
