Best keyboard for severe environment?

Thread Starter
I'm looking for a keyboard that can put up with the punishment it gets from me. Qualities necessary include:

1. Most Important: Wireless. If the keyboard has a wire on it, it becomes kitty spaghetti noodles. (I wish they'd let me catch em eating a wire)

2. Spill-proof: I'm typing now on a keyboard with 50% slow keys due to Coca Cola incidents.

I dont care what color or any of that nonsense, I'd prefer a wrist rest. I don't game much so I don't need a keyboard i can hold every key down at the same time.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Take any Keyboard you like the shape, i can recommend you most cherry keyboards since they are nice value/price.
Then you get such a thing: http://www.cherrycorp.com/english/keyboards/industrial/keyboard_cover/index.htm
You can see it being applied to a wireless keyboard there

That should solve your spilling issues and since you can choose a model without cable your cat wont eat it up.

since you didnt set a budget, you could of course check there to get highest amount of keystrokes (50million): http://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?lang=en .
I dont think ur looking for a mechanical keyboard but some keyboard that you cannot destroy easily with coke and kitty so id recommend going with some nice cherry wireless with coating:)

PS:nice taste on pc-case, i own the same but in silver:D

Woah I suppose I should've set a price, I'd like to keep it under $60ish If possible, but negotiable for the right product. I like the idea of a cover, thats why my work keyboard still works. +rep for your thoughts. What do you do to make your optical drive match the silver?

I dont use an optical drive wink.gif
I have a Scythe Kazemaster in the slot and if i need an optical drive once per year(actually i didnt use one at my pc for at least 20months now) i have an teac usb drive.
If i wanted an optical drive i would have to stealth mod it, no big deal but no need to.

For your keyboard, take whatever cheap cherry u like and order the coating and ull never have to worry about spilled coke, its the cheap and good way imo.

Ur lucky i just remembered something my sister told me she saw when she was at California they had such keyboards at the lab pc: http://store.sealshield.com/wireless-keyboards-c29.aspx
