Yup. I tried getting them to do some plexi work for my FC block plate(wanted Red Plexi) and Eddy told me they couldn't do that. I guess he thought I wanted the Acetal to be Red Plexi. What I wanted was the metal access plate to be replaced with a plexi cover instead. So I seriously doubt they would consider milling a replacement top for a HF block.

Which is too bad. They really should at least consider producing replacement parts and selling them for the masses than hold EK blocks and sell them to their vendors on a case by case basis and have a stock of 25 of each type on hand at their site. Not every one wants to replace their block every time they upgrade their system if they don't have to. rolleyes.gif

Well this blows. I loved how the EK blocks looked and was planning to go for a 680 EN block + a supreme HF both with white acetal tops.

Now this happens. Wonderful.

Now this happens. Wonderful.

Try contacting an EK reseller to see if they are able to get the older blocks in stock. Dazmode was just able to get me another Supreme HF (EN + acrylic).

Honestly, in my opinion there is nothing even remotely aesthetically pleasing about the new range. The circles will look out of place in any system that doesn't feature in a yughurt ad. The blocks look childish and tacky. EK has always been my one stop for blocks and I'm all for change but the path they have taken is borderline reckless and hopefully they take action when they notice their drop in sales.

I think the reason the only have inlet/outlets on one side is to force people to use their new CSQ FC-Bridge/Link system instead of using standard water cooling fittings.. The worst thing about this is that i dont plan on cross-firing my 7970 ever or for a very long time.. and i want my outlet on the topside of the block so the feature is useless to me. Plus i agree with pretty much everyone here.. they look pretty crap.

Honestly, I could have lived with the circles, and it's a full cover block, unlike the vast majority of others. What I can't live with, however, is the absolutely RETARDED idea to only place inlet and outlet ports on one side of the block. Pure idiocy. What the hell were they thinking?

I dunno I find that to be sheer genius. Offer a block that you can only connect G1/4 fittings on one side of in order to sell more stuff when people wish to xFire/SLi their cards. That is just so much WIN! for the manufacturer. Not so much for the consumer who won't be buying this Failcrap. thumb.gif

well the EK links required to put a bridge for sli cross cards is going to be free , either come with the bridge or something , so its really not that different from before if you were using an EK bridge , if you had something like a koolance tube running between your cards then you are going to have to get a bridge or do it with a couple 90's and a bit of tube .. not a fan either but at least they arent double charging you.
