Sorry for bumping. What were EK thinking??? They lost a heck load of customers because of this. I hate when companies do idiotic decisions like this instead of refraining to the old saying "If it's not broken don't fix it!!!" thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

I'm now in search of new cpu and gpu blocks and most certainly it won't be EK unless they listen and make a non-csq design.

applaud.gif Keep the input coming guys.

EK_Tiborrr mentioned that we are being heard and that there is something in the works for us non CSQ fans. Hopefully it's soon but you are being heard regardless if your opinion is good bad or indifferent. EK is paying attention. wheee.gif

Good. I'm 100% sure they still have the old designs on their computers, they just need to relaunch the manufacturing process asap. biggrin.gif
post #277 of 323
Yeah, the EK rep has hinted at non CSQ but nothing has been made official.

Tbh, its in their best interest: less manufacturing costs (saves on machining and time), slightly lower msrp, and feeds the hungry demand of the rabid non-csq folks.

I understand their looking to change their image after the nickel situation but honestly, they could have done this differently. I'm not even sure if they surveyed this at all (to a general sample not a fan based sample wink.gif).
Hmm.. I actually read very slightly on the nickel issue (long time ago) but now that you mentioned I went ahead and read the huge thread over @ RRTech..damn it was nasty. biggrin.gif

Anyways, a design is just a design. I'm holding my gpu block purchase until further news. thumb.gif

Hi Guys,

Two facts before your fantasy runs wild wink.gif
1. EK CSQ design is here to stay
2. Old design is not coming back
But new CSQ design may/will get developed further, as much as old design has been throughout the years.
The first step to supplying what customers asked us for, were single bridges and of course there is more to come in the future.

Enjoy the weekend!

That's good.

I have a spare RX360 radiator, Danger Den reservoir, and D5 pump sitting around.

I'm also itching to go to Micro Center and buy a new Gigabyte Z77X motherboard, Samsung RAM, Switch 810 case, and i7-3770K CPU for $665, and make that my new main rig, take my old i7-965EE system and have that as a backup gaming machine/folding rig.

If EK comes out with some non-CSQ water blocks, I might just pick up a CPU (for the 3770K) and GPU (for what ever I put in my old rig) water block from them and build me up another water cooling rig.

PLEASE EK, come out with non-CSQ options.

[Edit]

Well, looks like both I an EK were typing at the same time.

Well, here is my one fact then:

1. As long as you have all those circles on your products, you will NEVER see another penny from me again.
Enjoy the weekend!

So, I guess I will end up looking at giving other companies my money, since it is obvious that EK doesn't care to listen to their customer base.
