Yes there are server use restrictions under the residential plan.

I cant agree more with you. Why waste the bandwidth for this when they should be focusing on expanding fios availability/covereage. Im in Cypress, CA and they do not offer it in my neighborhood, pisses me off...

Probably because this doesn't cost them a dime more to support than their current FIOS service (in terms of the data infrastructure).

Not for a company. If that was in my offices neck of the wood, I'd ditch one of my T1's that cost $650 a month for 1.44/1.44 and for 1/3rd the price, get 208/45 TIMES the speed.

Also, if you had a house with say 4 college students in it (say an off campus rental), $50 a month per roommate would be NOTHING for that kind of blistering speed. Heck, if that comes in my own houses area, I'd get it and then start throwing "Cantennas" to a couple of my neighbors. biggrin.gif

I feel sorry for whoever gets this service, I have unlimited bandwidth and a 15Mbps line ... a 300Mbps connection will annihilate any retrograde cap.

There are no caps for FiOS.

I have Verizon FiOs, and I pay $40(USD) a month, for 35MB/35MB. I can't wait for a speed increase, I hate waiting 15 minutes for a DVD image.
Proof:
109
Recent speedtest:
165
Okay, the upload was off a bit due to MAME torrents...

The speed is awesome, the price is crap.....especially their lower teirs. $70 for 15/5? Really?

My 30Mbps for $30 is fast enough for me. I bought a game and DL'd 9.5GB in 45min from Steam, that's plenty fast. Granted I could go to 100Mbps for $80.
Either way I'm all for faster access! Just bring the prices down to a reasonable level.

What would a user like the average person on OCN even use 300Mbps down for? Jesus tap dancing Christ that's a lot of whatever.

I used to live in Cypress off of Valley View and Orangewood. I remember when they were building out to West Garden Grove. I was pissed! I later moved to Huntington Beach and currently have fios 35/35:D
