Where did you get that from?

That's why you get a package deal with phone, and cable. They really hook you up when you get all three of these options and something better then basic cable, they'll give you free premium channels too sometimes. thumb.gif They're really not that bad at all, much better then the comcast I had before. Cheaper, and faster internet. Not to mention the upload speeds are way better on fios!

looooooooooool. It's nice to see the US finally getting into 1st world country speeds but that price is ridiculous. At the moment in the UK 100Mbps costs £35 ($50USD)/month

They are selling the speed, not what it actually costs to provide the service.

How is latency generally in UK and ping times etc ? I've heard US has very low latency compared to some places in the world. Perhaps this is just a load of !

Depends where you live and whose your ISP. At the moment mines terrible, I get 30-400ms depending on the time of day. Other ISPs (which I am going to get pretty soon) should give me 5ms-60ms depending on the time of day.

This is what I got now.

274

Note that right now it is "peak time"

We are entering an age where the income between classes is drifting ever farther apart. Verizon and others know there will never be money to made by bringing services to certain areas. So to increase revenue existing customers will get-ever increasing speeds offered.

Because the USA is just playing catchup with subsidising our companies.

Exactly, we have the triple play and 150/65 and right now the price for just the internet is $70 on my bill. Really happy with the speeds so far, have done random speed tests during the day, even during peak times and get the advertised speed or better. While we don't need the 300/65 if they want to offer it at a cheaper price since we have everything with them it'd be difficult to say no biggrin.gif
