This. I really like my Filco tenkeyless and its small footprint, but I underestimated how often I would need to input number data.

Doing it on the top number keys is ridiculously slow in comparison.

You can get a separate number pad for pretty cheap, and keep it out of the way until you need it, or just leave it to the right of your mouse.

I use a tenkeyless because it leaves more room for me to move my mouse while still having the wasd keys lined up with my shoulder.

I've been tempted to try a 10 keyless mechanical. Has anybody found a 10 keyless mechanical that allows you to swap the 10 key to the left side of the keyboard like the Sidewinder X6 does? That would be ideal IMO.

I'd rather have a matching 10 key, mismatched peripherals bother me.

For Filco anyway, they do sell matching 10 keys.

Yes, there's the Azio Levetron Mech4 but I can't imagine who would want such a thing.

Thank you now I have to buy this awesome keyboard ^^

I think some people call it TKL.

I prefer Tenkeyless like most Keyboard Manufacturers do.
http://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=leopold,tenkeyless

The math incongruity of calling it 10keyless just isn't right. TKL is just a Guitar Case manufacturer to me.

Like mentioned, it's a space and ergonomics thing. I still like having my numpad though because I type numbers so much, even though I'm not an accountant by any means.

I really wish there was a mech kb with the num pad on the left side of the board. it makes way more sense to me, especially using excel. right on the mouse/arrow keys and left hand for imputing numbers.
