That's why doing a poll is the worst possible approach to buying a PSU. wink.gif

TBH you can probably put a mediocre Corsair PSU up against a high quality Sparkle/FSP/OCZ/PC P&C/Lepa/Cougar/Enermax, ect ect, and the vote will say Corsair.

I wouldn't rely on a poll next time, not that this one didn't point you in the right way. Always better to listen to informed people instead of the fanboy masses smile.gif

My point still stands, polls such as this are quantitative measurements and not qualitative ones.... they do away with the quality and knowledge of the contributors. wink.gif

The Silent Pro Hybrid is equally good, performance wise, to the AX 1200, but it offers superior output, superior connectivity and superior functionality(the fan controller), all that at a lower price... a no-brainer, but the poll landed a different result, I wonder why. wink.gif

ps. get the Aurum Pro suggested by Jagz, excellent unit at a fantastic price.

I was thinking CM Silent Pro Gold 1200 when I said AX1200 over it.

I do understand your point and I probably should have mentioned this but I had a classified open for a 1kW+ PSU that had to be completely modular and as little power fluctuation as possible (my current PSU has random power drops when stressing). I am also sick of partially modular or not at all PSUs. The Aurum Pro doesn't meet my expectation but I do not doubt that it is a quality power supply.

Well, the Silent Pro Hybrid offers far superior output quality and ~1% 12v regulation, the minor rails don't really like high loads but that doesn't really matter does it? wink.gif
