So, I'm buying a new laptop because my current one is starting to fail on me. I'm getting a Thinkpad T420. What I'm wondering is if the NVS4200 (GT520M) graphics upgrade is worth it. I already have a desktop but I will be staying at my girlfriend's house quite often and won't have a gaming machine. I'd be paying $112 extra for the upgrade to it, but I could also definitely use that $112 elsewhere. On the other hand, I could also eventually build an eGPU and connect it via the express card.

tl;dr: $112 extra for a GT520M for light gaming on 1600x900, or keep the $112 and go with HD3000.

Reps and thanks all around to those that can give me a helpful opinion smile.gif
