Fast boot doesn't count because it's a super-hibernation mode and it's not turning the smartphone completely off.
Again, bootup tests are not 100% perfect but these guys aren't exaggerating them.

Oh okay because it would fit the outcome you want it doesn't count.
Forget about being objective.
Got it.

edit: also the s3 looks pretty ugly and the one x looks amazing.

Have you seen the Samsung Galaxy S3 in real life? The Samsung Galaxy S3 looks much better in real life than in videos.

I was never a fan of HTC but they really outdid themselves with this one. I came from a Galaxy SII and I had alot of problems with it. No matter what ROM's I used I could never solve the laggy sleep issue... and apparently the Galaxy SIII has the same problem.

I think from a performance standpoint both phones are equal. If you're listening to any music the HOX stomps the SGSIII into the ground (I've tested both). Samsung phones sound simply sucks.

In my opinion I'd go with a white One X... what a gorgeous phone.

Why didn't you return your gs2 if you had so many problems? Obviously I have a gs2...I enjoy it and me nor my wife have experienced the issue you are talking about. One x is nice and looks great...the benchmarks will decide it for me.

Fast boot means the smartphone is NOT completely off. So enabling fast boot would NOT be objective. But I guess your ability to comprehend simple English is quite low.

Btw, you're on my ignore list too. I don't argue with people who can't accept facts.

no. it just looks weird to me, especially the shape of the device. The only thing I do admit is that the one x has some build quality flaws. I'm on my second device, my first one made creaking noises if I pressed either of the bottom corners. One of the illuminated lights on this one isin't as bright as the others (the multitasking one seems to not be fully on or something) but my 30 days is almost up and IMO it's not worth getting a new one for.

What I've heard from this Swedish guy, adrianisen, is that the Samsung Galaxy S3 has better ergonomic design than the HTC One X.

This is because the Samsung Galaxy S3 has the microUSB port at the bottom of the screen and the power on button at the side. This is very important as it is more convenient to reach for the side when turning the screen on. Also, when charging your smartphone or connecting it to a computer, it's better to have the microUSB port at the bottom since that way it doesn't put extra weight on the sides and holding it is much better.

Whereas the HTC One X has the microUSB port at the side and the power on button at the top. The microUSB port at the side is really annoying when you have to use the phone while being connected to a computer or charging. This is because it puts extra strain on the sides, which means you constantly have to put more weight on one side to keep it balanced. The power button being at the top of the screen makes it uncomfortable to constantly reach for the top of the phone (especially since the HTC One X is a long device).

Depends

Personally, Id pick the One X because i prefer Sense to the TouchWiz, I think most of the stuff Samsung did looks gimmicky, and not worth it..

The only reason I'd take the S3 is the fact it has an SD Card slot, so if you have a lot of music, that might be a good reason

But then again I havnt actually used the S3, So i might change my opinion when i get my hands on one...

As someone who uses his phone to listen to music and watch movies, the Galaxy S3 would be a no-brainer for me based solely on the fact that the One X does not have a microSD card slot. I understand that this is not a priority for everyone but I would not even consider a phone without one. Data is too expensive with limited plans in the US to stream all the time and I don't like the idea of having to swap out my files on a regular basis.

Edit: Ninja'ed by KenjiS. I'm surprised it took 18 posts for someone to mention this major difference.

I like the microUSB port on the side. Doesn't bother me at all.

So funny, people keep buying these new phones and they literally do nothing different in real world circumstances than their previous phones (unless you owned utter rubbish before hand)

Just like PC's, once you have a good rig, there's no need to keep buying upgrades just cos companys release them (until you cannot do what you want with the current hardware you have) - but we do anyways...

People would be a lot richer and nice toys would be a lot cheaper - if people bought things when they needed them.
