yes you can argue maybe than you only have one PCI-E slot, but then that what the gtx 690 is for. i can see why the MARS II was good as the gtx 590 was a dual GTX 570 on one pcb, but the gtx 690 is a dual 680 already on one pcb. This 2WIN and the MARS III offers 'overclocking' ability for a premium cost.
