The MSI card will have better components for sure. The lightning version uses surface mounted caps, and DR Mosfets even the reference
It seems that although the ASUS direct CUII GTX 680 has been reviewed a few times, no one who has taken the cooler off has mentioned that it uses (what looks like) old school 3 part mosfet. Im sure it works fine, but even the reference cards use the low RDS on mosfet design.
However when posr consumption is tested the ASUS card seems to do well, which is confusing.
