GL with the cards later! Hopefully you'll get the golden chip(s) wink.gif

If even a single person reads your "tangent" and comes to the true realization that VRAM DOES in fact matter!!! and matters MORE each game release and matters NOW then it will have done good in this world!!!

I am just glad we see we are both on the same page ... biggrin.gif

I am now transfering from choosing mode between cards to excitement of getting the best card out right now (The classifieds are not really out, and i have not heard tooo many special things about the few in peoples hands... so 4gb aside) these are the top of the top for now smile.gif

I REALLY want golden chips!!! I got lucky with a 3930 that does 5ghz at 1.45v (not golden) but not bad ... if these cards are relatively that good or BETTER I will be having a dance party for the next 24 hours!!! and I will dance to the sound of HEAVEN 3.0 while stress testing devil.gif I am ready to FIRE THESE LIGHTNINGS UP!

Thanks a lot for the info, i got some questions and they WILL affect my decision when it comes to buying three of these babies
1 - what is the maximum Vlt this monster can reach in terms of using MSI Afterburner, 1.250v?
2 - is there any future plans for a 4GB model like you did with the 580 one?
Thanks a million in advance smile.gif.

1) right now, 1.175v. next Afterburner update 2.2.3 will go past this limit.
2) most likely, however we can't confirm it at this time

Most likely for 4GB cards is a good thing for quite a few people out there.

Actually LN2 BIOS fixes a few things, most of which is cold bug.

But in Afterburner 2.2.1 and later, with the LN2 BIOS you can set Power Limit to 200% of default:

Reference is just a dual BIOS, nothing different between the two. The one on the Lightning allows more control via Afterburner as mentioned above.

I think it is a normal dual bios, the ln2 bios for better cooling. People can still use it but more extreme cooling just gets more out of it, like having all the extra phases.
Or once you have the card you could probably flash something else over it if you want.
The regular lightning was, the extreme wasn't really a record setter.

See above replies.

No date... don't make up stuff from what I'm saying.

"A few days" doesn't mean less than a week.

I'm purposely vague for a reason... because of guys that like to quote and use quotes against me if Afterburner can only adjust to 1.35V instead of 1.35000000000000000001v or some absurd number.

But I'm sure someone will quote me on 1.35V also.

I'm the one that posted that.

"A few days"... maybe I should just restate it as "out soon" so people don't read into it.
