Thats pretty cool how the voltage is already reading 1.212 in precision x. Its the same as afterburner so afterburner should read the same as well. Im running precision x right now but I'm guessing I should switch?
What are temps like as well as noise?

I was running card 1 in those tests and am running card 2 in the same tests now...

card one boosted to 1176 out of the box and even with oc to 1300 did not want to go higher than 45C and card 2 starts off at 50C stock settings but higher default boost clock ... BOTH at 100% fan... it is loud at 100% but not high pitched just blowing air ...

I think my card 1 could be a little faulty so I will check into that more ... if it if faulty I will RMA ASAP if not I will go SLI and report... smile.gif

the cards are BIG and BEAUTIFUL!!!

WORTH EVERY PENNY as long as you get a good one!!!

remember you need to use the LN2 BIOS for access to 1.212V wink.gif

What makes you think card 1 might be faulty? Just in case I have a similar issue.

SuperMI, are you saying 1 card starts at 50c in sli? Or by itself? If its SLI the top card definitely will get hotter by a lot (10c or more) -- that is normal (but you're aware of this i'm sure.) Anyway it does sound weird if one of them starts at 50C idle by itself.

Any luck on getting higher clocks. All leads just point to the LN2 BIOS pulling the hardware reading which is right in line with Nvidia's 1.21 voltage cap for Kepler that we are all stuck at

You should probably wait for the afterburner update before asking for definitive results. The limit cannot be removed without the updated afterburner.....(AFAIK) The LN2 BIOS removes all OCCT protection, thats all i'm aware of - but I could be wrong.

Its a bit too early to ask about this stuff, for now we're limited to mostly stock voltage overclocking

I have a feeling the 1.21v cap is all she wrote, no wonder all the hush hush? What does the eVGA Classified top out at for voltage? I wouldn't worry too much about the voltage capping low anyways, this Lighting is still a beast!

To condition what I will say , I do know that boost clocks and their algorithms mean each specimin has different boost clocks ... etc.

but the first card seems to score lower than the first in the same tests at the same clocks ... I saw what seemed might be a few artifacts at stock and near stock speeds for card 1 ... the boost clock wanted to bouce around alot in say a heaven run while the second one is ROCK steady ...

but I will of course retest and look for unseen variables ...

and yes it seems card 2 is consistently 5 degC warmer than card 1 and uses up more of it's power limit percentage by about 5-7% that might be a factor ... I will look into it

Though I hate getting cards that don't work ... since I have 2 and can use card 2 in the case I need to return and replace card 1 I am finding it fun to trouble shoot!! smile.gif

the LN2 BIOS was worth the premium for me ALONE !!!

I was just asking if it worked because he said he was trying it. I'm not coming for final answers, I have 100 posts on the hunt for voltage on these cards. I'm waiting out for 2.2.3 just like the rest. For now though I've seemed to be pegged at 1340 on my 680

the temp difference was with each card being used separately

In this case I am happy to report you are wrong LOL

Not only does the software show the voltage being taken by the card and report it in the On screan display under load but there is an increase in the OC ability

card one was crashing at 1300 instantly without the LN2 and could pass for 30 min (never crashed I just stopped the test) with the LN2 but then crashed at about 1320 ... which indicates strongly that there is more voltage going to the chip

Unless of course there is more current draw allowed or some other difference in the BIOS

I have not yet tested this on card 2
