Unwinder (afterburner creator) is working on it. He is saying there's a new IC on the lightning that he needs to work with.

He says soon, but how soon that is no one is sure.

Cool Mike here:

I received my GTX680 Lightning today. Been testing and playing around with it for three hours now.

I also returned my Galaxy SOC today. I am not a professional reviewer, but I will give everyone my thoughts.
As expected, the lightning is a better performer, a very solid build and has a much better power delivery system.
Both the front and rear plates are aluminum. I love the blue LED's that indicate which power phase is active.
I typically use two benchmark software packages that tell me the overclocks are stable. Running 3DMark11 Performance and extreme numerous times and MSI's KomBuster. I understand others have different ideas, but this has always given me very good results to prove out if the graphics card will indeed run every game out there.thumb.gif

Here are my results:
Card set in LN2 mode

Core at 1350Mhz (The Galaxy SOC would run 3DMark11 up to 1308 and always back off to 1296 due to temp's going over 70C) The Lightning's temps are in the low 60's!
Memory 7030Mhz Effective (This card has a wonderful memory controller)

i find it interesting that 1300/7000 overclocks are "just okay" for you guys.

And for the record, the GPU reactor is NOT needed to achieve max OC under air. I'll explain on Saturday at the OC event in Toronto.

Speaking of which.... greetings from Toronto, eh?

I was about to say the same, rather ridiculous that someone would say that. No gtx 680 I've had before this or my 690 clocked anywhere close to that, and they all had 70/80c throttling.

+1000, this card for now is monster overclocker, most of the users if not all are already in 1320+ mhz range, stable or at least quite a bit stable, that is insane! thumb.gif
